How This Tracker Connects to Plaspy​

The GT08 is configured to report to the shared Plaspy server endpoint and port so Plaspy can ingest position and event data and display the device in the platform. Configuration typically sets the device GPRS/APN parameters and the target server IP or domain.

  • The tracker sends periodic reports to d.plaspy.com or 54.85.159.138 on port 8888.

  3. Set the port to 8888 (Plaspy uses this same port for all devices).

  • Set APN and GPRS server to point the tracker at Plaspy (example uses the Plaspy server IP and port). Replace the placeholders with your carrier values.

  • [apn] = your carrier APN name

  • [apnu] = APN username if required (leave empty or remove if not used)

  • RPT, SLP, RUN parameters are part of the manufacturer syntax and control reporting intervals and runs as published by TopTen.

  • Verify or query the WWW/GPRS settings

Note: The GT08 uses the tracker ID that corresponds to the last 14 digits of the IMEI found in the PAR command. Use manufacturer documentation to confirm exact command response formats.

Configuration Notes​

  • Manufacturer firmware versions and command syntax can vary; always confirm commands against the GT08 documentation for your firmware revision.
  • The GT08 supports SMS based provisioning as shown above; ensure the SMS sender number has permission to manage the device if required.
  • When configuring the server you can use either the domain d.plaspy.com or the IP 54.85.159.138; both should point the device to Plaspy on port 8888.
  • Choose UDP or TCP according to device capability; Plaspy will automatically detect the protocol after the device connects.
  • Keep APN placeholders [apn], [apnu], and [apnp] as templates when preparing commands; replace them with the values supplied by your mobile operator.
