Configuration Overview​

The goal of configuring the YulongDa H02 for Plaspy is to prepare the device to send location and status data reliably to the shared Plaspy endpoint so the unit appears and updates correctly in the platform.   • Configure the operator APN so the device can attach to the mobile data network and reach Plaspy.

How This Tracker Connects to Plaspy​

The YulongDa H02 transmits recorded position data to the Plaspy platform using cellular data or SMS depending on the modem and configuration. When configured to use GPRS, the device opens a connection to the Plaspy server endpoint and sends telemetry on the shared port.

  • The device is pointed to the Plaspy server domain or IP so outgoing data is routed to Plaspy.
  • Data is sent over UDP or TCP to port 8888 as configured on the device.
  • Plaspy automatically detects the incoming tracker protocol and processes the device messages.
  • Regular position updates and state changes are transmitted so the unit becomes visible in the Plaspy interface.
  • Reporting intervals can be adjusted so moving and stopped updates match your monitoring needs.

Common Configuration Workflow​

  1. Access the official YulongDa configuration method for H02 such as the manufacturer SMS command set or configuration software.
  2. Enter the Plaspy server domain d.plaspy.com or the Plaspy server IP 54.85.159.138 in the server or IP field.
  3. Set the destination port to 8888.
  4. Choose UDP or TCP if the device requires a transport selection; Plaspy supports both on the same port.
  5. Set the operator APN and any APN username or password required by the SIM using the appropriate command or tool.
  6. Apply or save the configuration and restart the device if required by the manufacturer instructions.
  7. Validate that the device reports to Plaspy by checking device presence and recent position updates in the Plaspy platform.

If you are using the provided SMS commands, follow the order and defaults described below to set APN, server, and reporting intervals.

Example Configuration Commands​

The following commands are extracted from the public model configuration example for H02. These use SMS messages sent from a control phone to the device. The examples assume the device initial password 000000 which may be the factory default. Keep placeholders as shown.

  • Set the operator APN. If the APN requires a username or password send the variant that includes [apnu] and [apnp].
*APN#000000#[apn]#

Optional variant with APN username and password:

*APN#000000#[apn]#[apnu]#[apnp]#

Note: Replace [apn] with your mobile operator APN string. Replace [apnu] and [apnp] with APN username and APN password if your operator requires them. If no username or password is needed, use the shorter command.

  • Set the GPRS server to Plaspy using the Plaspy server IP and port:
*IP#000000#54.85.159.138#8888#

This command points the device at Plaspy. You can also use d.plaspy.com in manufacturer tools or fields that accept domain names.

  • Set the update interval while moving to 60 seconds:
XT60
  • Set the update interval while stopped to 60 seconds:
NXT60

Preserve command order when following manufacturer guidance. Some devices accept domain names in place of the IP address but the IP shown above is the public Plaspy endpoint used in the example. If your device requires explicit transport selection for UDP or TCP, use the device tool or SMS command documented by YulongDa to choose the preferred transport; Plaspy supports both on port 8888.

Configuration Notes​

  • The example commands use SMS based configuration which is commonly supported by YulongDa devices, but some setups use PC software or over the air tools depending on firmware and model revision.
  • Default device passwords vary by production and region; the example commands assume 000000 as an initial password. Confirm the actual password with the device label or manufacturer documentation.
  • Firmware differences can change command syntax, available commands, or required steps. Always confirm syntax against the current YulongDa documentation for H02.
  • Choose UDP or TCP on the device only if the device requires an explicit transport selection. Plaspy will accept either protocol on the shared port 8888.
  • Verify APN, username, and password values with the mobile operator before sending commands. Incorrect APN settings will prevent GPRS connectivity.
