All devices in Plaspy use the same port and the platform will detect the device protocol automatically when the device connects to the configured endpoint.

Typical Requirements Before Setup​

  • A powered and installed YulongDa H09 with access to the device password used for configuration
  • A working SIM card with a mobile data plan and correct APN values for the mobile operator
  • An SMS capable phone or the official manufacturer configuration tool if SMS commands are used
  • Access to the device installation location or installer who can restart or power cycle the device as needed
  • A Plaspy account and access rights to add or view the device once it reports to the server
  • Confirmation of APN, APN username, and APN password from the mobile operator when required

How This Tracker Connects to Plaspy​

When configured for Plaspy, the H09 sends its location and status data over the mobile network to the shared Plaspy server endpoint and port. Plaspy receives those packets and makes the device visible in the platform where tracking, alerts, and history can be monitored.

  • The tracker is set to report to Plaspy using the configured server address and port.
  • Location and state updates are sent at intervals configured for moving and stopped conditions.
  • Alarms such as vibration, SOS, and ACC events will be sent to the server after configuration.
  • Plaspy receives the device stream and automatically detects the tracker protocol for correct parsing.
  • The same Plaspy port is used across supported devices making provisioning consistent.

Common Configuration Workflow​

  1. Access the official manufacturer configuration method or software supported by the H09, for example the SMS command interface provided by YulongDa.
  2. Enter the Plaspy server information using either the domain d.plaspy.com or the server IP 54.85.159.138 as required by the device.
  3. Set the port to 8888 which is the standard Plaspy port for all devices.
  4. Choose UDP or TCP transport if the H09 requires an explicit transport selection.
  5. Apply or save the configuration using the manufacturer method, typically by sending SMS commands or using the vendor tool.
  6. Restart or power cycle the device if the firmware requires a reboot to apply network settings.
  7. Validate that the device reports to Plaspy by checking device status in your Plaspy account and confirming incoming position updates.

Example Configuration Commands​

The following SMS commands are extracted from the public model configuration guidance for the H09. The examples assume the device password is 000000 which is commonly the factory default. Keep the command order when applying these settings.

  • Set the operator APN If your APN requires only the APN name:
*APN#000000#[apn]#

If the APN requires a username and password, include these placeholders:

*APN#000000#[apn]#[apnu]#[apnp]#

Notes: [apn] is the APN name supplied by your mobile operator. [apnu] and [apnp] are the optional APN username and password fields. Preserve these placeholders when populating with your operator credentials.

  • Set the GPRS server to point to Plaspy
*IP#000000#54.85.159.138#8888#

This example uses the Plaspy server IP provided by Plaspy. If your device or firmware accepts a domain name you may alternatively enter the domain d.plaspy.com via the manufacturer tool, but the public example above uses the IP.

  • Set the update interval when moving to 60 seconds

  • Set the update interval when stopped to 60 seconds

Optional initial notes: the examples assume the default device password 000000. If your device password has been changed by an installer or vendor, use the current password in place of 000000.

Configuration Notes​

  • Firmware and hardware revisions may change exact command syntax or supported placeholders; check the device firmware release notes before mass provisioning.
  • Some H09 units accept SMS commands while others may be provisioned with vendor PC software or a configuration tool; follow the method provided by your vendor.
  • Choose UDP or TCP according to the device prompt; Plaspy supports both transports and will automatically detect the correct protocol when the device connects.
  • Confirm APN and any PDP credentials with the mobile operator to avoid connectivity issues.
  • If configuration does not take effect immediately, a device restart or power cycle is often required.
