The default device password shown in these examples is 0000. Send each line as an SMS to the device number (the device SIM). Preserve the placeholders and replace them with your actual values.

  1. Set the operator APN (replace [apn] with your operator APN; include [apnu] and [apnp] only if your operator requires an APN username and password)

  1. Set a 5 digit alias identifier for the device. Use the last 5 digits of the IMEI to create this alias. Replace <last5imei> with that value and include the trailing hash

  1. Set the GPRS server to the Plaspy endpoint by IP with port and transport flags. This example uses the Plaspy server IP and port and selects UDP as the transport flag where required

Notes on that line:

  • 54.85.159.138 is the Plaspy server IP
  • 8888 is the Plaspy port used for all devices
  • The U here indicates UDP transport in this device syntax. Use a corresponding value for TCP if required by the device.

Important:

  • The numeric password 0000 in the examples is the device default password shown in the public configuration content. If the device password has been changed, use the current password.
  • Replace placeholders such as [apn], [apnu], and [apnp] with your operator values. Use <last5imei> as described when setting the alias.

Configuration Notes

  • The CM-311 examples above use SMS commands as provided in the public model configuration. SMS based setup is a common method for this device family.
  • Choose UDP or TCP transport based on the device syntax and network conditions. Plaspy accepts either transport on port 8888 and will automatically detect protocol details.
  • Firmware and regional variations may change exact SMS command syntax or available fields. Always confirm command syntax against the device version you have.
  • All devices in Plaspy use the same port and Plaspy will automatically detect the tracker protocol when the device reports in.
  • Confirm APN credentials with your SIM operator; some carriers require username and password and others accept only the APN string.
