Checksum calculation

  • The checksum in the examples is generated by computing the XOR of the ASCII codes of characters in the command text up to and not including the '*' character, then converting the result to an uppercase two-digit hexadecimal string. Include that two-character hex checksum in place of the [checksum] placeholder.

Preserve the command order when sending for initial setup: apply the GSS setup command first, then use the reboot command if the manufacturer recommends a restart.
