QuecLink - GT200 Configuration

  • Define reporting intervals and enable important inputs such as SOS notifications.
  • Verify connectivity and confirm the device appears in Plaspy after configuration.

Plaspy Server Settings​

  • Server domain d.plaspy.com for tracker reporting and platform ingestion.
  • Server IP 54.85.159.138 as an alternate addressable endpoint.
  • Port 8888 as the single port used by Plaspy for device connections.
  • Transport support for UDP or TCP; the GT200 may be configured to use either transport on the device side.
  • Plaspy automatically detects the tracker protocol so no additional protocol selection is required on the platform side.

Typical Requirements Before Setup​

  • A charged and powered GT200 device with access to SMS or the manufacturer configuration method.
  • A valid SIM card with mobile data and SMS service and operator APN details.
  • Access to the device default password if SMS commands require authentication (sample default password shown in example commands).
  • Manufacturer configuration instructions or access to official QuecLink tools when available.
  • A stable network connection to confirm the tracker reports successfully to Plaspy.

How This Tracker Connects to Plaspy​

When configured, the GT200 sends position updates, alerts, and input events to the Plaspy server endpoint and port so the device is visible and manageable in the Plaspy platform.

  • The device is configured to target d.plaspy.com (or the provided IP) and port 8888 for outbound reporting.
  • Plaspy accepts incoming data over UDP or TCP and matches the device protocol automatically.
  • Regular position reports and event notifications appear in Plaspy once the tracker successfully connects.
  • SOS and other digital input events can be enabled on the GT200 and will be forwarded to Plaspy for monitoring.

Common Configuration Workflow​

  1. Access the official QuecLink configuration method for the GT200 such as SMS commands or vendor software.
  2. Enter d.plaspy.com or 54.85.159.138 as the GPRS server host on the device configuration.
  3. Set port 8888 as the server port; Plaspy uses the same port for all supported devices.
  4. Choose UDP or TCP transport on the tracker if required by the device firmware.
  5. Apply or save the configuration changes on the device and send any required SMS commands.
  6. Restart the tracker if the firmware requires a reboot to apply settings.
  7. Validate that the device reports to Plaspy and is visible in the platform dashboard.

The GT200 supports SMS configuration commands. The public example below uses the sample device password queclink as shown in the original public instructions. Send these commands as SMS messages to the device number in the listed order when performing initial setup.

  • [apn] is the mobile network APN
  • [apnu] is the APN username if required

  1. Set the GPRS server to report to Plaspy (domain and IP are both included in this example)

  • This command configures the tracker to use d.plaspy.com and the IP 54.85.159.138 with port 8888.
  • Plaspy uses the same port 8888 for all devices and will detect the protocol automatically.

Notes for commands

  • These commands are examples taken from public QuecLink configuration content and are sent to the device by SMS.
  • The sample device password in the example is queclink and is shown as the default in the public commands.
  • Replace the APN placeholders with your operator values before sending.
  • Only perform the factory restore command when you understand its impact.

Configuration Notes​

  • SMS based configuration is a common public method for GT200 devices; vendor tools or over the air methods may also be available depending on firmware.
  • Firmware versions and hardware revisions can change command formats or available parameters; always confirm with the manufacturer if unsure.
  • Choose UDP or TCP according to installer preference and device support; Plaspy accepts both and automatically detects the device protocol.
  • Plaspy uses port 8888 for all devices, so ensure that network firewalls allow outbound traffic to that port for the device.
  • Keep track of the device password used in commands and update it according to your security policies.
