Common Configuration Workflow

  1. Access the official Xexun configuration method or software, or prepare to send SMS commands if using SMS configuration.
  2. On the device or gateway settings, enter the Plaspy server as either d.plaspy.com or 54.85.159.138.
  3. Set the server port to 8888. Note that Plaspy uses the same port for all supported devices.
  4. Choose UDP or TCP transport if the device requires a transport selection. Plaspy supports both and will automatically detect protocol.
  5. Apply or save the configuration on the device or gateway and, if required, restart the device or gateway.
  6. Validate that the device reports to Plaspy by checking device connectivity and live events in the Plaspy platform.
  7. Test tamper, emergency, and telemetry events to ensure they appear correctly in Plaspy.

The U02 public configuration includes SMS commands that configure APN, set the Plaspy server, and enable GPRS reporting. Send each line as an SMS to the device phone number in the order shown when order matters.

Notes on placeholders and password:

  • [apn] is a placeholder for your mobile operator APN.
  • [apnu] and [apnp] are optional placeholders for APN username and password when the operator requires them.
  • 123456 is shown in the public example as the device default password. If your device has a different password, use that password in each command string where the password appears.

  • Manufacturer commands and exact SMS syntax can vary by firmware version and hardware revision. Always confirm command syntax against your device firmware notes.
  • SMS based configuration is supported in the public guidance and can be convenient when the device is remote, but confirm SMS delivery and device response before relying on it.
